
Work Completed
All work was completed in the allotted 4hr window each night until the brief was achieved.
The resources used by SES were all trained in PWTEH, fitters, electricians, TOO2/3 hand back, lift and escalator, track trolley, PASMA.
Sealing of one section of the tunnel was proving difficult due to the large voids behind the tunnel segments
SES were tasked in finding a way of injecting sand through the 32mm grout hole.
There was no portable machine on the market capable of achieving this doing this so SES in conjunction with APP designed and developed a portable pressurised tank that could be used for injecting sand behind the lining.
The machine was built and tested and transported into the tunnel where it was used with success.
