POS & Plant

SES are an incumbent Contractor for NWR on their On Track Plant (OTP) Framework with full capability to operate large plant under our Plant Operators Scheme (POS).

Provision of OTP is strictly limited to organisations with a POS accreditation. POS Rules outline the processes required for safe planning, control, site management and use of OTP.

Safe planning and deployment of on track plant and machinery is fundamental to successful rail project delivery. Our Plant and POS team works closely with our Rail Contracting Business Unit to provide a complete service to NWR and their Rail Infrastructure partners.

Our fleet includes 15 Road Rail Vehicles (RRVs), 24 trailers, 2 personnel carriers and a wide range of attachments to support all aspects of rail infrastructure project and maintenance work.

We maintain a dedicated, highly skilled team of POS Managers, Supervisors, Plant Operators, Crane Controllers and Plant Fitters to deliver professional POS and Plant services across the rail industry.

Working collaboratively with clients to minimise risk from the planning stage, we:

  • Advise on selecting the correct OTP for planned works
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards
  • Provide guidance on OTP delivery, storage, access and operations
  • Supply competent personnel for safe and compliant operations
  • Act as the single point of contact for OTP related issues
  • Assist with planning including site visits, lift plans, and Work Package Plans
  • Conduct meet and greet sessions for safe and effective handover of OTP
  • Provide all documentation to support for operations

Our POS certificate can be found here.
