Bond Street to Baker Street Tunnel Relining

Work Completed

• Replaced existing tunnel lining sections (EPC) with Spheroidal Graphite Iron rings (SGI)
• Each ring comprised of 13 sections (EPC) to be removed and replaced by 5 new rings (SGI)
• Operated and maintained SHP
• Utilised a number of 27 and 52 hour possessions

All work was completed in the allotted 4hr window each night until the brief was achieved by:

• Operational Crew
• Machine Fitters/Electricians
• Handback Engineers
• Maintenance Crew

To familiarise themselves with how to operate and maintain the plant, SES operators spent time;

• In the factory at Milton Keynes where the plant was manufactured
• At a disused siding to carry out trials to develop a safe system of work
